These pieces of jewelry, also known as nielloware, were handcrafted in Thailand (formerly Siam) between the 1930s and 1970s and were popular souvenirs for US servicemen stationed overseas. Key InformationMaterial: The brooch is made of sterling silver, often stamped \"Siam Sterling\" or \"925\" on the back. Siam silver sometimes had a slightly higher silver content than standard 925 sterling.Technique: It uses a niello technique, where carved areas in the silver are filled with a dark llic amalgam (the black sections) and then polished smooth to create a dramatic contrast.Design: The design depicts a dragon boat or barge, known as the Suphannahong. These boats feature in the Thai national epic, the Ramakien (based on the Sanskrit Ramayana), which is a common source for motifs in niello jewelry. 日暮里1001: 高橋選手のとても自然体で飾り気のないところが好きです。ちょっと落ち込んだときに見ると元気になれるDVDです。彼のスケートは、コケてもジャンプ決まらなくても、感動して涙が出てきてしまいます。ケガを克服してから、私のような素人目にも、とても強くなったし人間的に魅力を増したと思います。当然のメダルですね。今頃ですが、おめでとうございます！
