Tracel is a technology-driven company with experience in electronics, power electronics and structural mechanics, developing equipment for hybrid electric vehicles, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), power converters for renewable energy DC networks, among other projects.

The Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Engineering Research (COPPE) was born as a breath of innovation for Brazilian universities and the country’s development. Ever since 1963, it has helped establish post-graduate studies in Brazil, and for the last four decades has become Latin America’s largest center for engineering research and education.

The Hydrogen Laboratory is an integral part of the Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Program of COPPE /UFRJ, and has been developing applied research for more than 20 years to create new materials, processes and devices necessary to harness energy from hydrogen.
